Behind-the-scenes on founder life

Hi Reader,

We have some exciting news to share:

YourNegotiations.com was recently featured in Times Square!

Yes, that’s right—our little bootstrapped venture lit up one of the world’s most iconic stages.

It’s humbling to see how far we’ve come since starting this business from scratch just over a year ago.

But if you know us, you know we like to keep things real. The founder life isn’t just confetti cannons and neon lights.

Growing in the Dark

At times, being a startup founder can feel like operating a machine in total darkness. One wrong move, and we could crash the entire system! It’s exhilarating—but also nerve-racking. We’ve learned to keep going by focusing on why we started this in the first place.

Our Why

We’re driven by the stories of people like you who’ve negotiated a new job offer, increased their compensation, or successfully closed a business deal.

We love hearing things like, “I got the salary bump I never thought possible,” or “The negotiation felt collaborative, not combative.”

Each success fuels our mission to help more people create a better financial future—for themselves and their families.

Gratitude Overflow

Of course, we haven’t done this alone.

We are incredibly grateful for all of the friends, mentors, and partners who have offered guidance, introductions, feedback, and moral support:

  • Design & Branding: Huge shoutout to Derek Kohn for the brilliant website and logo.
  • Intros & Mentorship: Thank you, Jake Fleshner and David Siegel, for believing in us and expanding our network.
  • Business Partners & Referrals: Nancy Chu, Lorraine K. Lee, Jean Kang, Christina Pan, Julian Sproul, Lauren McGoodwin, Femke van Schoonhoven, Grace Ling, Brendan Aronson, Hannah Zhang, Priyanka Upadhyay (Coach Pri), Benjamin Easter, Stephanie & Louie Sakoda, and so many more.
  • Scaling Partners: Denzil Eden and Joseph C.—your collaboration has unlocked so many new possibilities.
  • Special Thanks: Brex, for featuring us in Times Square and championing small, bootstrapped businesses like ours.

What’s Next?

We plan to keep refining our negotiation playbook, expanding our community, and launching new ways for you to harness the power of effective negotiation.

Our goal is to continue doing what we love: equipping you with tools to secure better salaries, better deals, and ultimately, a better future.

Here’s to more wins—on your end, and ours!

If you want to explore how we can help you negotiate a job offer or business deal, feel free to reply to this email or book a free call with us here.

Thanks for being part of our journey. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

Onwards and upwards,

We share negotiation tips + a peek into running a business with your life partner. 👫 🤝 Hi Reader, Big names like Amazon, AT&T, and JPMorgan Chase are calling everyone back to the office…except for the “chosen few.” According to a new Wall Street Journal article, star employees—the ones hitting (or exceeding) performance quotas—are quietly getting special treatment. Think flexible schedules, more remote days, and far less micromanagement. So, what if you’re not the current “all-star” in your...
